What Is OMRI Certification
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is an international nonprofit organization that reviews products to determine whether they are approved for use in organic production and processing. As part of this independent review process, OMRI will evaluate each individual input to determine whether it can be used in certified organic cultivation and production under the USDA National Organic Program. OMRI certification gives you peace of mind that quality materials have been used, and that the living soil product is a high-quality medium for cannabis cultivation.
What Is Clean Green Certification?
While organically grown produce can earn an organic certification from the US Department of Agriculture, there isn’t a comparable federal certification for cannabis products. In order to address this void, the Clean Green Certification Program was developed. It creates a certification process that holds cannabis products to the exacting standards that have become associated with organic growing.
Cannabis plants that have achieved Clean Green Certification have been kept clean and sustainable throughout every phase of the production process, from seed to store. This certification ensures that sustainable conditions were maintained during:
- The grow process
- The care of plants while they grew
- The processing and storing of the plant
